Harmony Hills Schnauzers is not "just a business," rather it's a family affair. Because of this we fully understand the importance of new family support and will continue to be available to answer questions for all of our Harmony Hills Schnauzer families.
Each of our puppies will also be pet registered with the largest, most recognized, and respected purebred dog registration in the world in the United States, the American Kennel Club (AKC). * AKC's events, programs, and services support and enrich the lives of all dogs and their families.
*This is with the exception of our merle litters - who will be CKC or APRI. As of now, AKC does not recognize the merle patterned coat in the miniature schnauzer breed. at this time.
What is the Process for Adopting a Harmony Hills Miniature Schnauzer?
We want to know the following Information that will help us match you and your family with a puppy:
Why are you looking to add a puppy to your family? Is this puppy a pet or are you wanting to breed this puppy when he/she is older?
Tell me about your current family. Do you have other animals at home?
Where are you located? Do you have a fenced in yard?
What is your experience with puppies, dogs?
Do you have mini schnauzers currently or have you in the past?
Are you looking for a certain puppy (like: sex, size, color, coat, personality)?
We offer a pre-born reserve. This is best for a family looking for a specific physical characteristic, like coat and eye color. It is also a great option for families who know which parent (dam/sire) they are wanting to adopt a puppy from. I personally contact each person on the pre-born reserve list in the order of first to last. You will be offered your selected color choice and the opportunity to place a puppy on reserve. To be added you will be asked to provide a deposit as a commitment. This will be subtracted from the total cost of puppy. If a puppy is not produced of your request within 12 months you can request your reserve to be refunded.
The pre-born reserve list lets me know that there is an interest in my puppies or litters. If there is not an interest, I will choose not to breed.
You find your puppy (with or without pre-born reserve). To reserve this puppy as your newest family member you will be asked to place a puppy deposit of $500. This will be subtracted from the total cost of puppy. This is a commitment to purchase a specific puppy and is non-refundable.
Before being added to the preborn reserve or puppy reserve you will be asked to review our HHS contract. The contract contains key pieces of information like:
Puppy Description/Name and registration
Puppy Price
Transportation/Delivery or Pick up (to include date window)
Health Guarantee and coverage
Breeding Rights/Restrictions
Expectations of new family (including vet care & returning the puppy/dog to HHS if you cannot keep)
Commitment from HHS
You will receive a puppy preparation document to get ready to bring your new family member home. This contains important information about the puppy's feeding, potty, training, and recommendations about the puppy and easing the transition from our home to yours!
You will get weekly updates (including pictures) about your puppy. If you have selected a name, we will begin calling your puppy by his/her name too! We correspond via text, Facebook messenger, video, and phone call, and live video chat.
Puppies can go home with their new families as early as 8 weeks of age. This is after their second vet appointment which includes immunizations, de-worming, and vet approval to transition to their new home. There will be a pre-set date window for pick up or delivery.
